Sherman -
Police arrested a Newport area man Thursday morning after a shooting incident in Troy.
Richard Small, 45, surrendered to the State Police Tactical Team at a home in Sherman.
He's charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, reckless conduct with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Troopers had been looking for Small since Wednesday afternoon when he reportedly confronted a homeowner in Troy at gunpoint. Police say the gun went off and the two fought. No one was hurt.
Small is in jail, his bail is $50,000.
