East Millinocket -
32 years after her daughter's murder, and one East Millinocket mother is still searching for answers.
Wednesday afternoon, dozens of people released balloons at the soccer field behind Schenck High School, the same place Joyce Mclain's battered body was found 32 years ago.
Her murder has never been solved.
Joyce's mother, Pam, wants State Police to invite the FBI in to take a look at the investigation.
She believes, a new set of eyes could find the missing piece that could solve this case.
Recently, an online petition was signed by thousands of people and delivered to the attorney general in Augusta, requesting that the FBI have the chance to take a look the evidence in the case.
Pam Mclain describes her heartache and says, "She wouldn't give up either, she knows I'll never give up. I might not be able to put a band-aid on it, but I'm going to try and fix it."
State Police have said they will not ask the FBI to review the case.
Pam says she will continue to fight for justice for Joyce.
