Orono, Old Town -
The landfill in Orono is closing for two months and folks who live there will have to find another place to take their trash.
A construction project to make the landfill larger is prompting the closure.
It'll be open one last time before that work begins on Saturday, August 11th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
After that Orono permit holders will be able to take their trash to the Old Town facility on Gilman Falls Avenue.
You'll have to buy a permit at the Orono town office first.
Access for the Old Town landfill begins Saturday, August 18th.
