Folks will be revving up their motorcycle engines in Belfast Saturday August 4th, 2012
A charity ride is taking place to benefit several people in waldo county living with cancer.
This is actually the third year for the ride.
Tt all started to help out a local resident named greg bowen, who was battling terminal bone cancer.
Last year, bowen passed away the day after the ride.
So this year, organizers changed the name to the gregory bowen memorial motorcycle ride.
Registration starts Saturday August 4th at 8 a-m at Bowen's Tavern on the corner of Routes 137 and 7 in Belfast.
There will be a bone marrow registry drive as well.
Bikes are 15-dollars each.
The ride kicks off a 10 a-m, looping 100-miles down to newport and back.
A B-B-Q will take place in the afternoon.
