Bar Harbor -
It wouldn't be summertime in Maine without lobster.
"It is a Maine tradition, lobster feed is," said Josephine Kane, a Seal Cove Native.
It's a tradition seniors at the Sonogee Rehabilation and Living Center in Bar Harbor won't be missing out on this year.
"I have not had any for like two years," said Orono native Juliana Graham.
On Tuesday, a group of local lobstermen brought the treat right to their door, donating 100 lobsters.
All the staff had to do was cook and serve, then the seniors dug right in, until there wasn't much left at all.
"[It was] very good. Lobster is a good feed, lucky to have it," said Kane.
Graham added, "Not only is this great and the food is delicious, but sitting together and laughing, talking and socializing, we do that a lot, but it's nice to have something so positive and wonderful."
Even though they live in Bar Harbor, they might not be able to get out to the local lobster pound that often.
"We enjoy doing this kind of thing for them, to really bring the outside in to them," said Catherine Maynard, Administrator at Sonogee Rehabiliation and Living Center.
So these seniors are extra grateful to the lobstermen who donated their catch.
"We want to thank them guys. They work hard," said Thelma Davis of Dedham.
