Belfast -
Belfast is encouraging people to take the bus.
The bus system is offering free rides throughout August. Normally each trip is $1.
Waldo Community Action Partners has teamed up with other area organizations to encourage more people to try public transit.
Organizers say very few people realize that the big red buses are for anyone to ride.
New bus stop signs will be placed around the city, promoting the Belfast Shopper route which stops near area businesses.
The buses run at the same time Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
