Questions Arise About National Guard Members Exposure to Dangerous Chemicals

Some serious questions are being raised concerning a Canadian military base in New Brunswick where Maine soldiers were sent to train.

The Centers for Disease Control will investigate to find out whether the soldiers were exposed to agent orange and other dangerous chemicals.

Mainetoday Media says more than a hundred former Maine National Guard members have tried to get disability benefits for health problems believed to be linked to the base.

Five years ago, the Canadian government agreed to pay hundreds of Canadian veterans who served at that base $20,000 each.
