The Zone One American legion tournament began on Monday.
Motor City against Brewer.
Tyler Eddy batting with two in scoring position. The base rap brings in Estes but the throw from Brewer left fielder Josh Gale is a good one. The Sedgewick outfielder guns down the runner at the plate.
Motor City won a close one… the final 3-2.
Top seed Bangor on Winkin field in the Americal Legion tournament Monday against Hampden.
The Riverdogs finally getting something going against Bangor in the last of the 5th but Curt Worcester gets out of the bases loaded jam with the ground ball.
Bangor picked up five first inning runs and they still led 5-0 in the 6th when Hampden finally got on the board. Shawn Smith rips one to left and Matthew Millard Palmer comes in to score.
The Dogs starting to hit. next up its Andrew Giosia. He gets one into the corner and Patrick Later comes around from second. Hampden gets four in the inning and gets the game close.
The Bangor Comrads hand on to win this one 6-5.
