Kennebec Valley Humane Society Pet:

Hi there. My name is Mayflower. I am a long term resident here at KVHS, but I am hoping you can change that. I came to KVHS in January because my family could no longer keep me. When I first arrived at KVHS I was very scared, but after some time I warmed up to the staff and volunteers. Now when you meet me I give kisses, purr and rub up against you, I am just that friendly!!! I have been waiting for a while now and think it's my turn to go home. Oh yeah, I am a short haired, 5-year old, Dilute Torti. I am a beautiful, spayed female and up to date on routine vaccinations. I would prefer to be the only cat in the home and do you want to know why? Well, I will tell you. It's because I get jealous and want to have all of your attention. KVHS Staff and volunteers call me sweet and I can guarantee you will find a forever friend in me. I am also very energetic and hope you will be my new play friend. One thing to note about me is that I hate to be caged, which means I would like to go home as soon as possible. When potential new adopters meet me I am great with them, but when staff puts me back in my cage I don't want any part of it. I think that makes me look bad and people change their mind about adopting me. I promise I am great…I just don't want to go back in my cage. Come in as soon as you can and see how great I am!
It only takes a few minutes in the sun for your car to reach 110 degrees, causing serious injury to your pet. Always park in a shady spot, open windows, and provide cold water in a travel bowl.
