Bangor -
The weekend was really an early start to what looks like will be a tough work week for the employees at Pulse Marketing.
The agency's owner, Cintia Miranda said, "Unfortunately, right now, you know, I'm not sure how to start on Monday."
Miranda learned Saturday morning that someone broke into her office Friday night, along with three other businesses housed in the Coe building downtown.
"They broke the glass and they went around. They seemed to know what they wanted," said Miranda.
Among the items stolen from here were video cameras, tripods and laptops, which Miranda expects will cost her business until her insurance claims go through.
The store owner said, "As you can see where we had computers on the desk, the desks are empty now."
But hers is not the first downtown spot to be hit by thieves this month, and she's worried it won't be the last.
"Perhaps it's time for us to, as a community, to sit down and brainstorm and come up with some solutions for this problem," said Miranda.
The burglary happened just days after Northstar Photography on Columbia Street was broken into, and weeks after shop Sweetest Thing suffered a similar fate.
Miranda said, "We need to do something to make this area more attractive and safer for all of us."
City Council Chair, Cary Weston, said they've already started talking with police and business owners to find out what the problem is and plan to continue the discussions.
It's an effort Miranda is hoping will curb the rash of break-ins, so she can get back to business as usual.
