Bangor -
A 4-and-a-half million dollar retail plaza might soon move in on Stillwater Avenue in Bangor bringing about 2-hundred jobs with it.
Stillwater Crossing LLC of South Portland has purchased the lease on a 65-thousand square foot retail space at 461 Stillwater Avenue.
It's across from the Bangor Parkade Shopping Center.
A South Portland developer plans to create a facility with a variety of merchants.
The first confirmed tenant is the popular sports bar franchise Buffalo Wild Wings.
"This is a great addition to the restaurant mix in downtown Bangor, we continue to have a huge draw for retail, for shopping, for restaurants and we really want to continue to diversify what we offer here in the Bangor market and more and more people will come to do their business here in the community," said Business Development Specialist Tanya Pereira.
Ground could be broken as early as september.
The project is expected to create up to a hundred construction jobs.
