Poll Shows Maine Voters Back Angus King for Senate, Support Same-Sex Marriage


A recent poll indicates Maine voters want Angus King in the U.S. Senate.

The Critical Insights poll commissioned by the Portland Press Herald shows King leading by 55%. Republican Charlie Summers had 27% support and Democrat Cynthia Dill had 7%.

9% of those polled were undecided.

The poll also shows that the majority of Mainers are for same-sex marriage.

57% of voters say they will vote "yes." 35% say they'll vote "no." 8% don't know how they'll vote yet.

The poll surveyed 615 voters.
