Lawsuit Dismissed Against Grandfather of Accused Murderer from Windham

Windham - A federal appeals court has upheld a ruling dismissing a lawsuit against a man whose grandson killed three people while robbing a New Hampshire Army Surplus Store.

Michael Woodbury of Windham is serving life in prison for the July 2007 murders.

Gail Jones is the mother of murder victim, 23-year-old Gary Jones.

She sued Woodbury's grandfather, Lawrence Secord, claiming he should have done more to keep his grandson from stealing his gun, which Woodbury used in the murders.

A U.S. federal court found that Jones had not shown that Secord was liable and dismissed her lawsuit.
