State Regulators Warn of Skowhegan Property Appraiser

Skowhegan - State regulators are warning property owners about an appraiser in Central Maine who had his license revoked last month.

They say Scott Jones of Skowhegan could still be doing business and committing the same offenses that lead to his license being pulled.

The Maine Board of Real Estate Appraisers says Jones was working under the name of "Mid-Maine Appraisal Company" when he was found in violation of state statutes.

They say he took money from property owners and quickly cashed the checks, but turned over incomplete appraisals or didn't do them at all.

Anyone who's dealt with Jones recently is asked to contact the Appraisers Board and report him.
