Big Things Brewing At Sea Dog In Bangor

3

Bangor - Linda and Carl Blicker like a good beer.

In fact, they've traveled the world in search of the perfect pint.

Carl Blicker explains,"Well it's interesting. I think the beer is quite comparable to what you can get in England."

So it only seemed fitting that they stop by the grand opening of the Bangor Sea Dog's newly expanded brewery and barrel room.

Linda Blicker goes on to say, "Here you are going to be serving food, the setting is beautiful and I think it should make a big hit in the Bangor area."

And a big hit is what the Sea Dog's general manager, Larry Killam, is hoping for.

Killam says, "We're selling a lot of beers, let's keep doing that but now we want to bring the fun back in it and that's what this space is intended for."

But it's not just Killam who has big plans for the brewery.

Bangor's Mayor, Cary Weston, believes the expansion will effect more than just the Sea Dog's beer sales.

Weston explains,"The ability to bring businesses, keep businesses, and drive business to the Bangor waterfront is just a key in the future development of Bangor."

With every pint that's poured, it looks like beer could be the beginning to other booming businesses along the Bangor waterfront.
