Bangor Woman Charged with Stealing from Healthcare Charities

Former Employee Charged with Stealing $55,000 from Healthcare Charities

Bangor - A woman from Bangor who's accused of stealing from Eastern Maine Healthcare Charities has been indicted by a Penobscot County Grand Jury.

According to a spokesperson at EMHS, 46-year old Laurena Cunningham was employed by Healthcare Charities, and an investigation revealed she
diverted gifts between November 2011 and March of this year.

More than $56,000 was missing.

Healthcare Charities is pursuing full recovery of the missing funds.
