Bangor -
Summer camp is in full swing at the Bangor YMCA. And this year, they're giving parents a bit of a break as well.
The "Y" has added more spots to its Camp Jordan in Ellsworth and Camp Pierce Webber in Hampden.
Additionally, the Bangor Y has expanded its eligibIlity requirements for summer camp scholarships.
"We're trying to identify kids that we can give scholarships to," says Bangor Y CEO Mike Seile. "So, we're reaching out to the community and saying come in here, regardless of ability to pay, any income levels, and tell us how much you can afford, and we'll send your child to camp."
This Wednesday through Friday, folks interested in signing up for camp or applying for the scholarships, can head to the lobby of the Bangor Y on Second Street.
Information will be available from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.each day.
You can also apply on-line at www.bangory.org
