Hermon -
An accident on Route 2 in Hermon closed the road for a short time Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department, 28 year old Theodore Mcleod was driving a motorcycle and following a truck on Route 2 just before 5pm. The truck was attempting to turn left onto North Street.
Police say Mcleod was following close, looked down for a moment and when he looked up, he had to dump the bike to avoid hitting the truck.
Mcleod was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Route 2 is now back open.
