UPDATE: Accident on Route 2 Closed Road, Now Reopened

Hermon - An accident on Route 2 in Hermon closed the road for a short time Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department, 28 year old Theodore Mcleod was driving a motorcycle and following a truck on Route 2 just before 5pm. The truck was attempting to turn left onto North Street.

Police say Mcleod was following close, looked down for a moment and when he looked up, he had to dump the bike to avoid hitting the truck.

Mcleod was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Route 2 is now back open.

None of this is correct. None life-threatening injuries?? Really? He's still in the hospital in a medically induced coma. Get your facts straight.

Praying for the McLeod family.
