Ellsworth is on a search for the city's best whoopie pie.
The Ellsworth Public Library is hosting a whoopie pie baking contest Saturday, June 23rd. Registrations will be accepted through Friday, June 22nd.
Participants will share their creations with three judges, who'll start tasting the treats at 9 a.m.
Ribbons will be award to the top three winners in three categories - best traditional, best non-traditional and best presentation.
Extra whoopie pies will be sold for a minimum of $1 a piece to benefit the Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library.
