Waldoboro -
Police are investigating an accident in Waldoboro that killed an 81-year-old woman.
Authorities say Florence Bryant of Belfast was killed at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday when a car in which she was riding was struck from behind by a pickup truck on Route 1. Police say Bryant's husband, 75-year-old Richard Bryant, had slowed down to make a left turn when the truck rear-ended the car.
Richard Bryant was taken by medical helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
