An Appalachian Trail hiker died Saturday while swimming in Somerset County.
The Maine Warden Service says a 20-year-old hiker drowned after trying to swim in a rural western Maine pond.

Rescuers found his body in nearly 15 feet of water, but could not retrieve him.
