Winners of this year's Governor's Council on Physical Fitness Awards were honored at the state house Wednesday.
First lady Ann LePage presented the awards, which recognizes individuals, communities, work places and schools for the roles they play in keeping Mainers healthy.
Youthlinks Broadreach Family & Community Services in Rockland and the Mercer Community Club in Norridgewock were among the fifteen award recipients.
The first lady plans to take part in the Run for Cash 5K road race in Old Orchard this summer.
The race is in memory of Christopher Cash, who died while serving in Iraq.
