Old Town Softball Handles Waterville In Preliminary Game

3

Old Town - The Coyotes and the Waterville Panthers getting an early dismissal from school, a 2:30 start.

This one was all Old Town. In the first, Kendra Hayward strikes out Nicole Martin. One of Hayward's nine strikeouts. She'd only give up two hits in the game.

On offense, the Coyotes with a great start, thanks to leadoff hitter Meghan Cousins. She rips one up the middle, under the glove of the second basemen. Cousins would steal second, get to third on a bunt, and then it's Hayward
helping her own cause with an RBI single that drops into left. Old Town goes on to beat Waterville, 8-0 is your final. They'll play Caribou next, who beat Presque Isle today, 17-5.
