This is action from the early rounds. Ashley Richards from Caribou in the far court against Amber Prichard of Winthrop. This was a good one, with Richards winning the first set in a tie-break and the 2nd set 7-5.
On the boys side, we catch up with Ian Burgess of Brewer in orange in the near court. He handled Callum Thomas of Waterville in straight sets, 6-4 and 6-3.
John Szewczyk of Bangor in red handling Spencer Shagoury of Hall-Dale 6-4, 6-4. We spoke with two of the girls who fared very well last year as freshman and have high hopes for this year.
