Doubleheader in Orono today. The Caribou softball team trying to ruin Hermon's perfect record.
This one was scoreless thru five. In the 5th, Vikings with runners on 2nd and 3rd, but a great play by Shannon Graves, tagging the runner as she goes by and keeping Caribou away from home plate.
Hermon had trouble hitting Emily Staples today. She was lights out, sitting Jenni Phillips down.
This one was so close that it ended on a bases loaded walk to Katie Kivler in the 7th. Hermon wins game one of the twin bill, 1-0. But Caribou would pull off a 2-0 win in game two, handing Hermon their first loss of the year.
