Waterville Baseball Beats Rival Winslow In Season Opener

Winslow - To Winslow for high school baseball. The two-time defending state champion Waterville boys opening against their rivals.
First inning, Waterville pitcher J.T. Whitten tallying up the K's. He gets Mike McLaughlin looking. Then he sets up Dylan Hapworth and gets him swinging. Whitten, the son of the famed Dicky Whitten, will play at Husson next spring.
The Waterville defense also looking pretty good. Zack Guptill at the plate and his hot shot on the ground is fielded by Whitten. They turn the double play, Matt Lee to Brian Bellows. Waterville opens the season with a win today, 6-2.
