Husson Softball Sweeps Away Colby In Doubleheader

Bangor - Colby softball taking on Husson University today in a doubleheader. Eagles assistant coach Lee Speronis and his team without head coach Amanda Bourgoin because she had a baby this weekend!

Husson was down 2-0 early, but in the 3rd, the Eagles fly back thanks to Belfast's Brianna Webster. She laces one to left, scores Ashley Smith from Ellsworth and it's 3-2 Husson.

Top 4th, Colby comes right back. With a runner on 2nd, freshman Erin Caputo with a high fly ball to right. Courtney Hill can't come up with it. It's a double for Caputo and it ties the game back up at 3.

But bottom four, the Eagles pull away for good. Manchester native Heidi Shaw with a blooper on the infield dirt to plate a run. Husson adds a few more and they win game one, 7-3. The Eagles also won game two today, 10-4.
