No Pink Slime for Maine Students


Maine school children won't be getting any "pink slime" in their lunches.

The State Education Department tells the Bangor Daily News it won't serve any beef that includes the filler starting next year.

The so-called pink slime meets safety standards, but is made from fatty bits of leftover meat.
