BU strikes first in the 1st. Just under three minutes in, Alex Chiasson breaks away for a goal to put the Terriers on top 1-0 after one.
In the 2nd, Maine gets on the board. Joey Diamond is able to capitalize in front on the rebound to tie the game at one.
BU would go back up, 2-1, on a Matt Nieto goal.
But thanks to Will O'Neill, Maine would tie the game at two and then take the lead. The senior captain scoring twice in the 2nd period to give the Black Bears a 3-2 lead after two.
In the 3rd, Boston University would tie it up thanks to Matt Nieto's second goal.
But Maine would respond right away. Mark Anthoine with his 11th power play goal of the season to help Maine win tonight, 5-3. Joey Diamond would add an empty-netter.
The Black Bears will play BC Saturday night at the TD Garden. Gametime is 8:00 PM.
