Unitarian Universalist Church in Bangor Holds Crockpot Class

2

Bangor - Crockpots are an easy solution for a quick and cheap meal.

The Unitarian Universalist Church in Bangor held a class Saturday.

Someone from the UMaine Extension Department taught the class.

Members of the church recognize people are in need more than ever.

They want folks to learn how to cook economically and effectively.

So many people registered for the class, the church has to turn some away.

"I'm very pleased that we were able to have an open and warm event and I think people learned and I think they enjoyed the food as well," said Church Minister, Becky Gunn.

They cooked two different meals; spaghetti and chili. Everyone who signed up for the class got to take home a free crockpot.
