Meet the Kennebec Valley Humane Society Pet of the week:
Hi. My name is Dascher. I am a medium haired, 6-year old, black cat. I am a neutered male who is up to date on routine vaccinations. I came to KVHS as a stray from Spring Street in Augusta. When I came to KVHS I was very underweight; however, I have gained some much needed weight since then and have come a very long way here at the shelter. KVHS staff even shaved all of the mats that I had when they found me. I am a very friendly cat and am ready for you to take me home.
Outdoor cats sometimes sleep under the hoods of cars during cold weather. When the motor is started, the cat can be injured or killed by the fan belt. Before starting the engine bang loudly on the car hood.
