Orono - The University of Maine chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity is hosting a bike ride in memory of a brother.

Cycle for Life is an event where people donate ten bucks to ride stationary bikes a half hour at a time.

Last year, they raised about 25-hundred dollars. They hope to double it this time around.

Cycle for Life raises money for Leukemia, in memory of one of their brothers, Taylor Trundeau.

"He died of Leukemia and his father and the University of New Hampshire's Pi Kappa Alpha there started this foundation five years ago. Now it's grown to almost 50 plus chapters throughout the nation. We've raised almost a quarter of a million dollars a year for it," says Pi Kappa Alpha president John Armstrong.

Cycle for Life is Saturday, February 18 from 10:30 in the morning until 9 at night at the UMaine Recreational Center.
