Dedham -
It's not something for the faint of heart, but judging by this crowd more and more people seem to be warming to the idea of an ice cold dip in Phillips Lake. Well, some of them.
"This is a great spectator sport," said Dana Mosher, Executive Director of Camp CaPella.
Mosher would prefer to watch as his friend suffers for a cause they're both behind.
"He's wussed out," said Joe Dowling, founder of the fifth annual Polar Plunge benefiting Camp Sunshine and Camp CaPella.
The camps serve kids with disabilities or life threatening illnesses.
"For them to come here, it's huge, it's absolutely huge," said Mosher.
More than sixty people agreed to brave the freezing temperatures wearing next to nothing, and with dozens more standing by in support, a winter day on a frozen lake suddenly felt a lot warmer.
