Orono - The women's hockey team in action this afternoon, looking to climb up the hockey east standings, playing Vermont.

Second period, Black Bears down 1-0. They turn the puck over to Erin Wente. She's got a chance, but is denied by the Hockey East Goalie of the Month, Brittany Ott.

Later in the second, UMaine getting a chance of their own. Tori Pasquariello gets an extra step on her defender, but she can't get a good shot off. The Catamounts keep their 1-0 after two.

But in the third, the Black Bears come alive. Brianne Kilgour passes to Pasquariello and this time she deflects it into the net, tying the game at 1. The Black Bears would score three more times in the third and they win it, 4-1 the final.
