Augusta - An Oakland woman will spend ninety days in jail because her 1-year-old daughter ingested cocaine.

Jillian Jones, 22, pleaded guilty in October to endangering the welfare of a child and having cocaine.

Originally a felony, the charge was downgraded to a misdemeanor.

Police say Jones' daughter got into the cocaine while at home.

Medical records show no lasting effects on the toddler.

" I don't know how to explain how I sorry I am for putting myself into that and even more, putting her in that situation. She didn't deserve that. I'm thankful that she didn't die. From here on out I'm going to be the best mother I can be," said Defendant, Jillian Jones.

The child will stay with Jones's mother while she's in jail.
