School districts across the state are finding out just how much money they may have to work with next school year.
The Department of Education has released its preliminary funding estimates.
A spokesperson for the department says enrollment and property value are the two biggest factors in determining the funding.
Schools in Bangor, Brewer, Eastport, Rockland, Waterville and Winslow are among some of those set to lose money compared to last year.
Brunswick's on track to take the biggest hit with a drop of $1.2 million.
Other schools with significant increases in funding are Dexter, East Millinocket, Hampden, Hermon, Machias and Millinocket.
RSU 9 in the Farmington area stands to gain the most with a $2.9 million increase.
Some schools could get more or less money after lawmakers pass the state budget.
