Pine Tree Camp Snowmobile Egg Ride Is Saturday

2

Brewer - The 39th Snowmobile Ride to benefit the Pine Tree Camp is Saturday February 4th.

The lack of snow has changed some of the plans but the ride will still kick off at the Hungry Hollow 76ers Snowmobile Club in Levant. The Breakfast starts at 7am.

Normally the riders would take off from there.

But due to the conditions, they will be on a truck from there to Newport, and they will hop on snowmobiles at the Big A Snowmobile Club and ride into the Newport Rec Center for the annual celebration there.

Q106.5 is still taking donations, and for every $50 raised the riders will add a raw egg to their suit for the trip.

Each year listeners donate about 30 thousand dollars, which helps families around the state according to Q Morning Show Host, and Program Director JR Mitchell. "Dealing with a child or an adult with a disability is very expensive and the camp is as well because they have medical staff that has to be there so these families say they want their child or adult to camp ad they ask what they can afford and if the family can afford fifty dollars they do not get turned away the money we raise defrays the cost of that."

You can still donate until nine o'clock Friday night by calling 991-9500, or on their website wqcb -dash- fm dot com.

Or you can donate in person at the Danforth's Supermarket in Hermon from two until nine pm Friday .

Saturday, among other things, there will be a Pageant in Newport at the Rec Center, an awards presentation and fireworks as part of this ride in weekend.

TV 5's own Todd Simcox and Wayne Harvey will take part in the ride again this year.
