Tax-Aide is a free program sponsored by both AARP Foundation and the IRS to help individuals and families complete their tax returns.
Their councilors have been trained in both federal and Maine state tax laws, and have passed an IRS test to qualify to prepare tax returns.
Services are being offered in 19 locations across 5 Eastern Maine counties.
