Oakland, Saco -
Central Maine Power Company has ordered one of its contractors to stop work while an accident that killed a worker is being investigated.
John Plante, 44, of Oakland was on a utility pole in Saco when he fell from as high as 50 feet.
He was working for a company out of New York State hired by CMP.
Investigators have said the death appears to be accidental.
The US Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the state medical examiner are investigating.
