Windham -
Police in Maine say an 11-year-old boy has
been hospitalized after he was hit by a vehicle as he crossed a
road to get onto his school bus.
Windham police say 22-year-old Ryan Boucher of Lewiston failed
to stop for the bus, which had its emergency lights flashing, on
Route 115 shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday.
The boy, whose name was not released, was conscious and alert
after he was hit.
Sgt. David Thomas said Boucher faces a charge of failing to stop
for a school bus and that other charges may be forthcoming once an
investigation is complete.
