Police Release Photo of South China Robbery Suspect


South China - Police have released a surveillance photo of a man who robbed a bank in South China.

Border Trust on Route 3 was held up around 10:30a.m. Friday morning.

The suspect is described as white, six feet tall with light colored hair and eyes. He was wearing a brown Carhartt jacket.

Police were told he showed a handgun and fled on foot, hopped on a bicycle headed north on Jones Brook Crossing toward Village Street.

Witnesses say the suspect was then picked up by an accomplice in a pick-up truck.

Anyone with information is asked to call the ennebec County Sheriff's Office at 623-3614.
