Orrington - No one was hurt when a fire broke out at the PERC plant in Orrington early Monday morning.

We're told it began in a room where processed trash becomes fuel for the boiler.

Plant workers shut down the processor and tried to fight the fire, but cold weather caused a pipe to break, so they called the fire department.
