Prison Escapee Considered Desperate and Dangerous

Gray - A search continues for a man from southern Maine who escaped from a New Hampshire prison.

Police say David Hobson, 33, of Alfred was in the recreation yard of a prison in Ossippee when he climbed over a perimeter fence topped by razor wire.

He was awaiting trial on a burglary charge.

Police believe he may have stolen an SUV while in New Hampshire. They are looking for a 2004 black Toyota Highlander with New Hampshire license plate 1481896.

State Police believe Hobson May return to Maine.

He is considered desperate and dangerous and anyone who has seen him or knows where he might be should call Maine State Police in Gray at 657-3030.
