A man from Maine has become the third person to accuse a long time assistant basketball coach at Syracuse University of child sex abuse.
Syracuse fired Bernie Fine Sunday.
His firing comes after new allegations from a man from Lewiston.
Zach Tomaselli, 23, says he was abused by fine in 2002 on a Syracuse road trip to Pittsburgh.
He told the associated press fine touched him multiple times in a hotel room in that one incident.
“I’m hoping all of this helps sex abuse victims in the future. I hope that through this somehow I’m able to help them in a way and allow them to see that it's right to come forward.” Tomaselli told reporters.
Tomaselli is facing charges of his own in Maine. He's accused of molesting a 14-year-old boy.
He says the abuse he suffered as a child warped his ability to know what's appropriate behavior and he's now in counseling.
Meanwhile, no charges have been filed against Fine.
