Old Town -
Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine is hoping to make the holidays a little bit happier for children who may not otherwise have one.
They've once again teamed up with Spirit of Giving of Southern Maine to reach children not just in Bangor, but state wide.
Executive Director Bette Hoxie says for children in and out of home placements, a small toy goes a long way.
About 600 kids need a toy this season.
"They are children who, for a variety of reasons, can't live with their birth parent or in some situations we have a small group of birth parents who we work with, as well who have children with some mental needs," Hoxie said.
If you'd like to help Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine with their holiday effort, call 827-2331, or you can visit them at their office on Center Street in Old Town.
