Family of Four Arrested in Connection with Large Marijuana Growing Operation

2

Monroe - A family of four have been arrested in connection with a large marijuana growing operation.

Authorities say drug agents found marijuana growing in the garage of a house located on Swan Lake Avenue in Monroe.

Fifty-five-year-old James Ford, along with his wife 55-year-old Darlene Ford are charged with cultivation of marijuana.

Their two sons, 34-year-old James Ford of Dixmont and 31-year-old Paul Ford of Swanville were also charged with cultivation of marijuana.

They say they seized more than 300 pot plants, along with 10 pounds of processed pot and two semi automatic assault weapons.

Officials say the potential street value is more than $800,000.

Everyone except the younger James Ford are out on bail.
