Westgate Manor is hosting its annual community education event in recognition of National Alzheimer's month on Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

Is care at home becoming more difficult? Do you struggle wondering "Where do we go from here?" Join us for an interactive workshop designed to equip attendees with an understanding of terms and direction for future care needs. Deb Poulton, Deputy Director/Director of Family Caregiver Services with the Eastern Area Agency on Aging will clarify the terms Assisted Living and Residential Care. Karin McDonald, Assistant Director of Nurses at Westgate Manor will clarify the difference between skilled nursing care and long-term care.

Kim Corey of Finely Sorted Home Organizing will wrap up the evening sharing some fun ideas on how to approach downsizing as people prepare to move from home to retirement community, assisted living, or long-term care. Kim has ten years of experience with hands-on organizing and consulting services.
