9" pie crust
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cloves
1 16oz can(2 cups) pumpkin(not mix)
1 13oz can(1 2/3 cups) evaporated milk or light cream
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare crust. In large bowl, beat eggs slightly. Add remaining ingredients, blend well. Pour into crust lined pie pan. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Reduce oven tempature to 350 degrees and continue baking for 45 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool. Serve plain or with whipped cream. *Please keep in mind that due to the molasses and brown sugar this pie has a slightly different color and taste than traditional pumpkin pie.
