Pittsfield - Two teachers from Pittsfield are getting some national recognition for their innovate efforts in the classroom.

Sharon Littlefield and Lori Stevens work at Warsaw Middle School.

They recently received the ING Unsung Heroes Award, which is given out each to year 100 teachers across the country.

The award comes with a $2,000 grant. The money will be used to help fund a classroom project Littlefield and Stevens created.

It combines math and science software with animation programs to help students better understand science.

The teachers will now compete for one of the top three prizes, which includes up to $25,000.
