Belfast -
Folks had a chance to learn about a different style of living in Belfast Sunday.
It's called co-housing within and ecovillage.
People were invited in for an open house and homemade ice cream making.
It allowed folks to see what this lifestyle is all about.
These people are creating a neighborhood group of people who have come together and want more to do with their neighbors.
This particular one is focusing on environmental sustainability and farming.
" Someone who comes in, comes in and becomes part of LLC and by doing that reserves a house and then they buy a house outright. It is a condominium association legally and you're paying a condo that has shared amenities like a large common, which is something that makes co-housing different then the average condominium association."
The common house will have a root cellar, kitchen and eating area all shared by the neighborhood.
